THE MISEDUCATION OF HIP HOP

So many people claim to be "down" with the Hip Hop culture, but can't even

name the 4 Elements (GRAFFITI, BREAKIN, DJin, & EMCEEin)! Some even

think what they see on videos is Hip Hop, ie.: bling, video vixens and

perverse lyrics with no positive message. I know the 1st amendment and true

indeed everyone has a right to voice their opinion. Our children are suffering

at the cost of an artist's self-righteousness and greed. Hip Hop is a

community of sharing positive ideas and positive self expression. Don't blame

Hip Hop for the negative actions of this generation, blame the

MISEDUCATION of Hip Hop!

True, but why even focus on it? We only set ourselves up for a debate with those not in agreement by doing this. Anyone who makes it to this group area most likely has an understanding of what's real and what's real wack! Haha, so really we don't need to educate anyone but instead support what they have to offer. Those who are confused will learn by paying attention to the those leading by example. Let's not set up a platform for them to come argue with you about why Soulja Boy is better than Mos Def... you don't wanna hear it, and really don't want to waste time replying to it.

What's good in your hood? Who SHOULD we be checkin' for? People, that's what I wanna know... I'm done complaining about Hip Hop, I LOVE HIP HOP. One love to LACE the ILL One for starting this group, people let's hear from you!
