Originally, Music&Strength was created in 1997 as a radio show in Hollywood, California broadcasted on 99.3FM KCLA, produced & hosted by Randall "SHUX" Murchison. His show was dedicated to exposing independent musicians and evolved into video productions to expose hip hop culture, dance, and visual art. It soon became a family of artists engaging in collaborations with each other for videos, music, events, youth educational workshops, and countless independent projects.
Today it exists as a crew of independent artists spanning from Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Oakland, New York, and out to cities in Japan as well. This website was created to display video productions, blogs, news, special events, and promote true school Hip Hop Culture of not only members of our crew, but the Hip Hop community worldwide.
ABOUT THE LOGO: The MUSIC&STRENGTH logo image was originally drawn by Phillip Lee, Jr in 1998 and was inspired byGanesha. In no way is this image meant to disrespect or poke fun at Ganesha. The logo we carry has added the 4 basic elements of Hip Hop culture to the hands of Ganesha, signifying the unification of our arts combined with it's knowledge & wisdom.
