Stax Records Museum | Memphis, Tennessee

This year I want to visit the Stax Records Museum in Memphis, Tennessee. They built the museum where the original Stax Records studio used to be. They also moved a real church (built in 1906) into the building, so right when you walk in you’re in a Mississippi delta church. So many great albums were made there by Otis Redding, Booker T. & The MGs, Issac Hayes, Staple Singers, and many more. You can go inside a replica of the recording studio which was originally built inside of an old movie theatre. The slanted floor was supposed to be behind the signature Stax sound. I really want to check out the films they are playing there because I’m curious to see if they have any rare footage of Issac Hayes and Booker T. I’m going to sit in Isaac Hayes’ ’72 Cadillac Eldorado.

Here is a playlist to get yourself up on Stax Records amazing music.
